The project adapts a upperclassman dorm parking lot at the University of Virginia into a atypical dining hall that houses production (basement), cooking (ground) and dining spaces (upper and ground floors) in a single structure.
A place where students can go to see, be seen and observe the food production process, the structure encourages both intimate and free-flowing interactions in the hanging “dining boxes” and throughout the building.
